shall be certified by the Council for Accreditation in Occupational Hearing Conservation (CAOHC), national or DoD
shall have a minimum of one year or more of experience as an audiology technician.
Ensures availability of electronic treatment record prior to patient presenting to clinic. Insert required forms into clinical record 100% of the time.
Perform hearing evaluations using microprocessing DOEHRS-HC audiometer software on any service member requiring an annual hearing readiness audiogram or DoD noise exposed civilian requiring an annual audiogram. No more than three errors annually based on observation and review of DD2215/2216.
Performs comprehensive audiometric evaluations as directed by an audiologist. Procedures and DA4700 will be reviewed by audiologist for accuracy.
Support audiologist in performance of audiometry testing.
Perform hearing aid checks and counseling for patients with hearing aids with 80% accuracy based on review of handouts and worksheets in the patient’s record.
The contractor HCP will typically work 8-hour days, Monday – Friday, anywhere between the hours of 0600-1700. These hours will vary in accordance with the mission. Contractor HCP will have a 30 minute unpaid lunch period if the work day is 5 hours or more in length.
