Clinic and Surgical Care:
Contractor’s physician(s) shall provide Emergency Physician services for Emergency Department (ED), acute care medical inpatient facility, and Community Living Center including
Patient Safety: Report any patient safety incidents in accordance with Quality Assurance Surveillance
Provide care for all ED patients, admitting them to hospital if necessary. Accept patients transfered from other hospitals.
Respond to all code blue and rapid respones.
Order of routine laboratory, radiologic, and other diagnostic tests.
Initiating and expediting request for consultation and scheduling special tests and studies.
Enter notes in CPRC including ED, ED clinician IDC, ED discharge, code blue, rapid response, expired patient.
Receive calls from other providers regarding all patients
The contractor shall provide direct patient care including specialty exams such as compensation and pension, agent orange, etc., as required by the Chief of Staff or designee.
shift schedule: 80 hour per 14 day period; 6:30am to 6:30pm or 6:30pm to 6:30am. (Work schedule may be subject to change due to Staff changes and/or shortages).
: Contractor must make the contractor’s physician(s) available on-call during all hours when the GJVHCS clinic is closed, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
On-call contractor’s physician(s) must be available at all times for phone consultations with VA residents and physicians.
On-call (if required) will be approximately one weekend per month and one evening per week.
