Our client is a Public School District in West Texas, servicing students in this warm friendly community. This position will be as a School Employee and will be for the 2009-2010 School Year and beyond. Speech Language Pathologists work hand-in-hand with the classroom teachers to provide assessment, develop Individual Education Plans, provide hands-on treatment, and follow-up to the students of this wonderful district. You will join a very enthusiastic team of professionals who are dedicated to their profession....striving daily to make a difference in the lives of the kids they touch. We are looking to add a Part-Time Speech Pathologist to our team member for the 2009-2010 School Year...and hopefully beyond! You would work from 8:00 AM until 4:00 PM daily. Your Caseload will be approximately 50 Students and you will be able to schedule your own time. Students range from Elementary to Secondary ages with most having common diagnoses with 2-3 students with more severe/profound diagnoses. You can use inclusion or pullout methods...with access to a Artic/Language lab.

Brief Job Description: Understanding of individual needs of students. Knowledge regarding assessment and diagnosis of communication disorders as they impact the instructional process. Knowledge of habilitation and rehabilitation of speech-language disorders and conditions. Ability to communicate with all levels of students, their parents, and teachers.

Qualifications: Masters degree from an approved institution. Valid Texas license as a speech-language pathologist granted by the State Board of Examiners for Speech Language Pathology and Audiology. Experience SLP-As should apply!

COMPENSATION: As an employee, you will be paid on the State Scale, based on years of creditable experience, PLUS a $9,000 Specialty Pay/ $10,000 if you have your Cs.
